Welcome!
Welcome!
In the year 12,025, how has our reality changed as humans?
For me, this timeline is so far away and simply unfathomable to be able to predict what it could look like.
However, with my imagination and the help of AI tools, I formulated a vision that speaks to this eventual reality.
Then I painted it on canvases -- with acrylic paint and detailing via felt tip markers.
Whether we are here or not, time continues to move on.
How much impact can one person have on someone who exists 10,000 years later?
Regardless of the safety and certainty of other paths available to us --
What would be my excuse for not pursuing the path of highest impact based on my skills, passion, and utility to society?
My contributions are bound to be lost into the ether of eternity and the infinite timeline regardless ... so why not find a way to build a life around utility, a utility I enjoy, with people I am happy to share my limited time with?
The impacts of this generation may be felt in the next three or four generations.
Still, given enough time, our contributions will be diminished due to technological advancements, culture, and values --
or the eventual degradation of our planet based on the course it has been set on.
Due to the choices we have made as a collective species and singular ecosystem thus far,
it's becoming more likely for parts of the planet to become uninhabitable,
or for countries in power to destroy or displace parts of the earth to --
"start from scratch."
I explore these themes with the paintings in this collection and music created since the Summer of 2022.
The collection includes six paintings of 3ft x 3ft or 4ft x 4ft in scale:
"Zoom Out"
"Love is My Shield"
"Michê Steeze"
"Yemo Yaymo"
"Tranquil? One Day."
"Tomorrow's Ideal"
And two smaller works 5x7in and 12x12in in scale:
"Dice Roll"
"Meaner than Evil"
